The FWC's Division of Marine Fisheries Management, Marine Fisheries Management Section administers a state artificial reef program that was legislatively created under s. 370.25 Florida Statutes in 1982. The program was transferred to the Commission from the Department of Environmental Protection on July 1, 1999.
